It was Winterfest in Sulani and Amelia would have loved to go all out for the holiday but sadly funds wouldn’t allow that. Though she was happy to see Finn walk in with something behind his back. Amelia dashed to the bedroom to grab his. When she returned Finn was holding roses in his hands. Amelia placed them in a vase and handed him his present.
It was a book about the history of Sulani she found a one of the local vendors. Finn absolutely loved it the gift came from the heart and that is what matter most. Finn couldn’t stay long due to having to get back home to celebrate with his family. Amelia had work to do anyway she headed over to the a clean up site in part of the ocean to spray to help bring it back to normal.
Amelia quickly treated the water and headed home to take a hot shower. She may be a mermaid but she has never been a fan of chilly water. Over the next few weeks Finn and Amelia didn’t get to see each other much. Amelia was busy with work and Finn was off doing something but was very vague about the details. Amelia wondered if he was seeing someone else but pushed the idea out of her head. She knew he loved her and that is all that matter. Though she did get a visit from his sister-inlaw.
Amelia figured she finally had more questions for her but she actually came to talk about Finn and Makoa. She had noticed both of them acting very strange.
“When ever I bring up the subject they just smile and wink at me then say just wait and see.” Lillian said shaking her head.
“Maybe they are planning a surprise for you and Makoa doesn’t want to spoil it. Look don’t stress about it till it happens. I’m sure they aren’t up to no good.”
You’re right, I’m overreacting with I tend to do from time to time.” Lillian felt better now about the situation. She gave her Amelia a hug and headed home.
