My name is Elizabeth Spears and here I am sitting on the bench next to my new home an empty lot. I am crazy for taking this offer I know I am. My family and friends back in San Myshouno all think I’m crazy. Why would I agree to take on this challenge of roughing it and helping build Oasis Springs and Willow Creek back to it’s former glory.
To be honest I have no idea why I just knew I needed a challenge in my life and this screams challenge to me. I have to blog about my journey and when I am gone my kids will have to continue the blog. That is the craziest part about this. I have to get my first born to agree to continue on with the plan. I am sure that will be a fun conversation later on in life.
This rundown diner is all Oasis springs has to offer. Like that is it otherwise it is an empty desert. I can’t tell how the food taste there I don’t have any money. That is part of the deal I start over here on an empty lot with no money. Hopefully I didn’t bite off more than I can chew.
I’m hoping this experience will help me when it comes to pursuing my career as a writer. I just need a computer to start working on it. Hopefully I can save up enough money to buy one.
They did not leave me empty handed when they dropped me off here. I got a handy dandy fishing pole and I got to keep my cell phone so I can blog. Though it was weird asking strangers who use this town to walk and bike ride to take my picture.
I caught my first fish If I had a fire pit I could roast it. Oh well maybe someday. I will sell it and earn some money. You can sell just about anything online now a days.
I tried my hand at digging up collectibles. If you get fossil they can go for a pretty penny.
These old wells are great for catching frogs. Breeders pay top dollar for rare ones. Though they are so slimy and I am not a fan of frog hunting.
My haul for the day not to bad if I do say so myself. I think I will be completely fine out here on my own. Though I do miss everyone back home.
I even earned enough money for a bed and a bush for when mother nature is calling me.
Even after a good day I still felt lonely and sad. Not my proudest moment but I cried under the covers.
I stumbled upon this little food stand and decided to order food with what little money I had left.
I decided after some food to introduce myself to at least one person and have an actual conversation not just ask them to take my picture. I met Candy she seems nice. She let me know I’ve been on about every news channel for what I’m doing. She thinks I’m crazy but wished me luck on my journey.
I spent a little time before bed stargazing. It is very peaceful and quiet around here. So you all are wondering why Oasis Springs and Willow creek are so empty. You see when more and more towns began popping up people started moving and trying new things. Soon no one wanted to live here and the homes became so broken down it was decided to demolish them all.
Though with the new towns getting more and more populated then government decided to try and rebuild the old founding towns and breath life back into them. I’m the first and only person crazy enough to jump at the idea of an adventure like this.
I won’t post every day like this some days I’ll post one to three days together it all depends on how much happens in a day. The first day I had to share by itself it was a special day. It marked the beginning of my journey and my future families journey.
Till next time-Elizabeth is signing off.
